With integrated payments, your POS system and payment processor are connected and exchange certain non-confidential data, eliminating the need to manually enter transaction data.
Required Materials:
- Ethernet cable long enough to reach from the payment terminal to your router/hub.
- Your device's reference ID (this is available from MicroBiz Support - contact us for your ID)
- Your device's serial number
For this example, we are using a Dejavoo Z series device.
Step One: Set Up Your Payment Terminal
To begin, take the Ethernet cable and plug one end into your router/network hub and the other end into the input brick for the Dejavoo device, as shown below.
Once you have done this, proceed to plug in the DC power cable into either an outlet or the USB port on your machine after removing the power adapter. If both the power and Ethernet cable were plugged in correctly, you should get a "POS Online" message on the device as shown below.
Step Two: Configure MicroBiz for Integrated Payments
If you are receiving this message, you are ready to pair your device with MicroBiz. To do so, login to your MicroBiz subscription and navigate over to Settings >> Registers. Then, open up the register that you would like to associate with the Dejavoo device. On the Settings tab, change the dropdown on the 'Integrated Charge' field to 'Gateway Type 1'. This will activate the Processing tab found to the right of the Settings tab on this screen, as shown below.
Step Three: Pair Your Terminal with MicroBiz
For the next step, you will need the serial number of your processing terminal. For the Dejavoo device, the serial number can be found on the back side of the device (as shown below). You will also need the reference ID that was given to you by our support team.
Once you have this information, go back to the Processing tab in the Register record. The next step is to press the 'Pair Terminal' button (as shown below).
Please be sure to double check the data, and then press the orange 'Pair Terminal' button.
You may need to wait for a minute or two for the terminal to connect. Once it connects, you should be presented with a screen asking you if a sale for $0.01 shows on your Dejavoo device. If it does, click "Yes" and your device should be configured. Don't forget to hit "Save" before leaving this screen afterwards and you should be good to go!
