Include specific customers in a segment even when they do not match segment rules.

When to use this

----------------

  - One-off promotion list (e.g. event attendees entered manually)

  - A customer almost matches your rules but needs to be included anyway

  - Building a small VIP list on top of a broader segment

Manual members are added to the segment's rule-based members. Campaigns sent to that segment include both groups.

From the Audiences screen

-------------------------

1. Open Audiences and select a segment.

2. Open the members view.

3. Search for a customer by name or email.

4. Click Add to include them.

From the Customers list

-----------------------

1. Open Customers in Marketing Hub.

2. Find the customer (use email/text columns to confirm consent status).

3. Use Add to audience and pick the target segment.

Remove a manual member

----------------------

Open the segment's member list and remove the customer. This does not delete the customer record — only their manual membership on that segment.

Tips

----

- Manual add does not override consent. Non-subscribed customers still will not receive email.

- The system records who added manual members.
