Step-by-step guide to composing a campaign, choosing an audience, and sending

email to subscribed customers.

Before you begin

----------------

- You need Manage or Admin marketing access.

- At least one customer must be subscribed to email marketing.

- SendGrid must be configured. Contact your platform admin if sends fail with "email not configured."

Steps

-----

Step 1 — Open Campaigns

From Marketing Hub, click Campaigns in the sidebar, then New campaign.

Step 2 — Name and subject

  - Enter an internal campaign name (staff only).

  - Enter the email subject customers will see.

  - Optional: Preview text (inbox snippet).

Step 3 — Compose the email

  - Start from a template or build in the visual editor.

  - Use these merge tags in the body:

      {{firstName}}     — customer first name

      {{lastName}}      — customer last name

      {{storeName}}     — your store name

      {{unsubscribeUrl}} — required unsubscribe link

Step 4 — Choose audience

  - All subscribed — every mailable customer in your organization.

  - Segment — a saved audience (see Build an audience with segments).

Step 5 — Save or send

  - Save draft to finish later.

  - Send now to queue the campaign immediately.

Only subscribed customers with valid email addresses are queued. Others are

  skipped and logged.

Step 6 — Review results

After sending, open the campaign to see delivery, opens, clicks, bounces,

  and unsubscribes.

Tips

----

- Send to a small segment before mailing your full list.

- Always include {{unsubscribeUrl}} in the footer.

- If you see a session-expired message, sign in again and retry.
