- Default Search Mode – determines which search mode shows first when you begin a search. For most users barcode or manufacturer’s part number – is probably the best place to start.
- Product Name – Determines how the MicroBiz product name will be set when importing a product record. The product Title from Barcode Lookup should be used unless you carry products that need to be differentiated by size or color.
- Default Search Category
Field Mappings
When you select a Barcode Lookup product record these settings determine what data is used to populate the MicroBiz product record.
- Sku – can be mapped to UPC, Manufacturer’s part number, EAN (if available) or left blank
- Style – Model, Manufacturer’s part number, or left blank
- UPC – UPC or EAN
- Item Number – ASIN (Amazon sku ) or left blank
- Vendor Product ID - Model, Manufacturer’s part number, or left blank
Catalog Data Actions
When populating a MicroBiz product we can try and find a vendor, brand or category that matches these fields in the product being imported. You can select either to try and find an exact match in MicroBiz for these fields or ignore the field.
Searching
Matches are not exact – so a search on ‘sam’ will return same, sammy, samuel, sample and samsung. The barcode field is generally specific enough that if you enter the full UPC you will fund your product. Manufacturer’s part number will generally be specific enough – though your results may improve by adding a brand or manufacturer name ..
