The Credit Account record contains a dropdown button that can be used to print statements, add service charges (such as late fees), issue credits and set the initial starting balance for new accounts.
Click on the down arrow on the Print Statement button to access these features.
Add Service Charge - Text entered in the Reference field will appear on the Statement in the line for the service charge added. You can enter a description such as 'Late Fee' in this field. The text entered in the Note field will also be displayed on the Statement after the Reference.
Issue Credit - Text entered in the Reference field will appear on the Statement for the statement credit added. You can enter a description such as 'Reversal of Late Fee' in this field. The text entered in the Note field will also be displayed on the Statement after the Reference.
Set Initial Balance - This is used to enter existing credit account balanced from an old system into the new credit account in MicroBiz. This is intended to be used when setting up the account for the first time. If you use on an existing account, this will overwrite the current balance with the new balance.
Note: As service charges and credit entered via the customer record in the back end are not register transactions, the charges will not appear in standard Register and Sales reports. You may need to manually make adjustments in your financial statements for these charges.
